Garavaglia, the historical foundry, was established in 1964 in Caronno Pertusella – Northern Italy. In the early 1980s the company specialized in the production of wear-resistant spare parts for the aggregates and recycling industries.
Today Garavaglia S.p.A., thanks to decades of studies and research, is positioned on the international scene as a leading foundry that manufactures high-performance steels and wear-resistant alloys, 100% made in Italy.


We mainly produce hammers, blow bars, armours and impact plates casted in steels and high-chromium white cast iron for crushers and impactors. We manufacture our products exclusively in the foundry of Caronno Pertusella with the use of a modern electric arc furnaces and state-of-the-art plants, taking advantage of the collaboration of our customers and prestigious universities.

Over the decades we have developed our exclusive DUR® chromium alloys, DUR® martensitic steels, manganese steels and the most innovative DURK® composite materials (ceramic inserts), made with technologies that are continuously updated.


We are constantly committed to environmental protection, we adopt in our production processes ecologically advanced materials and we were among the first in Italy to obtain the Integrated Environmental Authorization (I.E.A), conforming to the principles of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) laid down by the European Community.
We support the circular economy by recycling the sand used in the production process. Finally, we use raw materials and scraps coming from certified and safe sites that undergo scrupulous radiometric and chemical checks.
